TROPIC THUNDER - MOVIE REVIEW
Tropic Thunder

This is a funny, funny, funny film. I don't know who to praise first, Ben Stiller for writing and directing it, Tom Cruise for stealing it, Robert Downey Jr. for the most hilarious send up of a black-face performer, or Jack Black for, well, just being Jack Black. I don't think it matters, what does matter is you'll laugh your butt off. It's filled with standout cameos throughout by great performers who are having the time of their lives, just being stupid. This is a "run to see" feel good film, a true home run for Stiller and crew! Enjoy!

HELL RIDE - MOVIE REVIEW
HELL RIDE
Starring: Michael Madsen, Larry Bishop, Eric Balfour, David Carradine, Dennis Hopper, Vinnie Jones and Leonor Varela
Directed By: Larry Bishop
Rated R for strong violence, sexual content including graphic nudity and dialogue, language and drug use
By John Delia
Unless you are a hard-core biker, like a lot of rock music mixed in with violence, or are adamant about seeing every ‘grind house’ movie that hits the screen, don’t bother with this clunker. The poster itself provides a warning; “The rebellion against all there is.” The film has a jumbled plot, gratuitous nudity in almost every scene, poor acting and meaningless dialogue.
Please read this carefully, because if you go to see it, I think this is what it is all about. Members of the 666er biker gang slice and burn a young Comanche Indian girl to death. Thirty-five years later her son and her lovers who are members the rival Victors gang get even. In between there are a lot of flashbacks on the murder, needless character buildup, and a lot of biker killings.
There are very few good things about Hell Ride. The ‘grind house’ filming effect is good, and if you are a lover of the cinematic look, this will probably be a good thing. They kill off a lot of tough bikers, sometimes twice, and that may be a good thing. The acting of Dennis Hopper is a good thing, because without him the film would be totally intolerable. Some of the women in the film are beautiful, even though their acting needs to be polished up a lot.
Hell Ride tends to get away from itself and that’s probably the fault of the director. It looked like it was originally made as a full sequence movie with a reveal in the beginning and then played out to its showdown ending. But then it looks like the editor decided to snip and rearrange the scenes in order to try and delay the reveal and the obvious ‘twist’ ending. And finally, the acting leaves a lot to be desired unless ‘campy’ is an acceptable type of performance.
A BIG warning here, there is a lot of frontal female nudity, sexual content with dialogue, drug use, brutality, strong violence and gore. (And sometimes all during the same scene.)
FINAL ANALYSIS: Hell Ride dooms itself with a jumbled plot and very little substance.

HELL RIDE - REVISIÓN EN ESPAÑOL
HELL RIDE

Written and directed by Larry Bishop, this movie leaves much to be desired. Beginning with a weak screenplay, the only things you see on the screen are: nudity, motorcycles, and death. Now, anyone will say that those are the perfect ingredients for a great movie, but, without a good plot that will hold them, those ingredients are not good for anything.
I spent 83 very boring minutes, even though you have good actors like Dennis Hopper and Michael Madsen. It seems that they tried, unsuccessfully, to recreate the Hell’s Angels movies of the late 60’s.
I do not recommend this movie.

STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS - REVISIÓN EN ESPAÑOL
STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS
The Clone Wars introduce un nuevo carácter: Ahsoka Tano.

Another great production from George Lucas who supervised both, the screenplay written by Henry Gilroy, and the direction by Dave Filoni. This movie takes place between Star Wars II and Star Wars III.
It is the first Star Wars movie to be completely animated with the intention of attracting the younger audience. It also serves as a platform to launch the TV series
I liked this movie a lot; it was easy to get used to the difference from the original characters, which is not a lot, with different voices and appearance which reflects the character, not the actor.
The Clone Wars introduced a new character: Ahsoka Tano. She is a 14 year old girl, with a zest for life and adventure. She is a Jedi apprentice who has been assigned to Anakin Skywalker as a paddawan to fight the war when Jabba the Hutt’s son is kidnapped. The Jedi Knights must maintain the order and restore peace in the galaxy.
I was truly fascinated by this movie, its great animation and the sweep of its story. I can easily predict that the girl Ahsoka will become another one of the most beloved characters of Star Wars. This movie is good for the entire family.
